The majority of higher paid employees work in higher education and in "Section 38"-funded health and social care charities.
Aside from public servant equivalents, only 0.83% of people working in Ireland’s Third Sector are highly paid – compared to 13% of people in the rest of the economy. Pensions are the exception not the rule.
