Benefacts Who Funds What (Beta*)

Who Funds What is a new service from Benefacts.

Who Funds What provides a single point of access to reported State funding for 2,825 nonprofits, derived from the Open Data records of 8 public sector bodies – the Arts Council, the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection, the Department of Foreign  Affairs, the Department of Further and Higher Education, The Department of Rural and Community Development, the HSE, Sport Ireland, Tusla.

Most of the published data relates to 2018 or 2019. As fresh data becomes available – including data from more sources – we’ll update it here. Here’s a preview.

Benefacts Who Funds What was co-funded by six public sector bodies as part of the Benefacts Analytics project 2018/19 – contact us if you’d like to know more. Initially, it is being launched as a proof of concept to public officials and representatives – it’s their data.

Once we have had the opportunity to take their feedback onboard and improve the service, our plan is to make it more widely available. Let us know if you would like to be notified when the site is opened to the sector and the public.

* Beta Version – 1.0 was released in September 2020.
