Benefacts has a team of specialists in data management, web development, nonprofit management and governance, communications and financial analysis, who together have designed and built our database and website.
Fergus Bolger– chief technology officer (part time). Fergus contributes to business strategy and oversees delivery of all technology solutions for external and internal users.
Myles Dolan– software design engineer. Myles has development operations responsibilities for our data and web production processes.
Jeff Eldridge– principal software engineer. Jeff maintains Benefacts searchable public website and our specialised web applications like Benefacts Analytics.
Anna Hernick– research analyst. Anna provides support for data processing and analysis and is research assistant on Benefacts reports and the Philanthropy in Ireland project.
Kate McCarthy– data manager. Kate supervises all of the data acquisition and classification processes and leads on data production for benefacts.ie and for reports and services.
Paula Nyland– head of finance and operations (part time). Besides being Benefacts chief financial officer, Paula manages Benefacts’ financial analysis processes, leads on financial analysis and engages with clients in the public, private and non-profit sectors on data projects.
Patricia Quinn– founder and managing director. She is responsible for the leadership of the company and the delivery of its reports and services.
Ger Sweeney– Company Secretary, programme and office manager. Ger runs the office and organises meetings and events.
Maria Towers– senior financial analyst (qualified accountant, part time). She is responsible for financial data analysis for a variety of recurring and custom analytics projects.
Mark Wilkes– senior developer and data architect (part time). Mark is responsible for the design and various interfaces to Benefacts’ database of nonprofits.
Barney Whelan is head of communications (part time).
Senior qualified accountants/financial analysts (all part time) supervise the production of Benefacts financial datasets, and also share a role in the production of bespoke datasets and reports: Anne Holloway (who is also responsible for Benefacts own routine management accounting), Eileen Keegan, Mary O’Neill, Teresa McEntegart, Mary Butler and Grainne Kealy.
Angela Mendez Ruiz (part qualified accountant) and university students (all part time) support the finance team in data processing. Eavann McCarthy works part time with the data team and on social media support.
External contractors provide website management support (Colm Troy) and web design services (New Graphic).
