At 12 noon on Tuesday 30th November Benefacts launches the first-ever public website providing information about the 2,000+ nonprofits that benefit from funds generated wholly or in part from the proceeds of the National Lottery.

Using data published by central Government and its agencies, Benefacts has connected these grant payments with the entities listed in its Database of Irish Nonprofits. These including organisations working in the arts, community and youth services, disability services, Irish language, heritage and more.

Benefacts National Lottery Directory allows users of the website to search and sort organisations according to the scale and source of their grant(s), or their location. Links to each organisation’s listing on the main Benefacts site provides more information about their governance their other funding, their regulatory filings.

The release of this new free public resource accompanies Benefacts second report on Charitable and Philanthropic Giving in Ireland which will be available to view and download on Benefacts.ie on Tuesday 30th November 2021 at 12 noon.
